The footage was collected by the Russians in 1945 and now appears, edited together, in this unique series. The 18th volume covers the second half of 1944, with depictions of such seminal events as the famous assassination attempt against Adolf Hitler, Josef Goebbels's speech promising revenge for the bombing of Berlin, the ominous emergence of the V1 and V2 rockets, the defense of Cherbourg at the mouth of the River Orne, and much more.
